Canapés
The Art of Finger Food

Redefining Dairy Finger Food Branding

Impact

The new brand identity successfully repositioned Canapés as a premium player in the catering market. The refreshed catalog became a central sales tool, helping clients easily navigate offerings and inspiring confidence in the brand’s professionalism. Packaging updates elevated the unboxing and serving experience, strengthening word-of-mouth marketing.

The redesigned website increased both inquiries and online conversions, proving the commercial value of design-led storytelling. Internally, the team gained a clear and consistent system to guide all marketing and operational activities, enabling smoother execution and stronger brand storytelling.

Approach & Process

The creative direction drew inspiration from fine dining culture and modern minimalism, striking a balance between elegance and accessibility. We developed a new visual language centered on clean typography, a fresh and refined color palette, and photography that highlighted the artistry of the dishes. Every photoshoot was carefully art-directed to showcase texture, detail, and the sense of abundance central to the Canapés experience.

A modular design system was introduced for catalogs, packaging, and the website, ensuring consistency while allowing flexibility for future product launches and marketing campaigns. On digital platforms, we emphasized clarity and usability, designing a website experience that translated the sophistication of the physical brand into a seamless online journey.

By weaving together natural textures, ample white space, and bold food visuals, the identity reframed Canapés not just as a catering service, but as a complete culinary lifestyle brand.

Challenge

Canapés had built a loyal customer base thanks to the quality of its food, but its visual identity failed to reflect the sophistication of its offering. The existing brand system was fragmented, inconsistent, and lacked the premium cues expected in the highly competitive catering industry, where perception and presentation are often as important as flavor.

The challenge was to create a cohesive and elevated brand identity that would set Canapés apart, communicate refinement across every touchpoint, and remain flexible enough to work for packaging, print, and digital platforms alike.

Canapés is a dairy catering company specializing in refined finger food. The project reimagined the brand’s entire visual language, from photography and packaging to a digital-first catalog and website. The goal was to elevate Canapés beyond a local service into a lifestyle-driven brand that conveys taste, elegance, and accessibility.

As Creative Director, I directed the visual identity, art direction, and end-to-end creative execution across print, digital, and environmental touchpoints.

Lessons Learned

This project highlighted the importance of designing food and lifestyle brands with both aspiration and practicality in mind. While elegance and sophistication drive emotional connection, usability and production feasibility are critical for long-term success.

Close collaboration with photographers, printers, and developers ensured consistency across mediums, reduced costly adjustments, and kept execution aligned with the creative vision. Ultimately, the project reinforced how a cohesive brand system can elevate not only perception but also business performance.
